At http://www.vladi-private-islands.de/sale/site/html/cms_de-sale_detail_en-1074/Mutton%20Island.html you can see that Mutton Island with 185 Acres is for sale at 1,100,000 Euro. The text says: "... Mutton Island has had a ... history as a self-sufficient continually inhabited island supporting up to twelve families, ...". So that would be 100,000 Euro per Family and probably again that much to build housing and needed infrastructure (if we agree to help each other and are somewhat flexible with the level of comfort).
If we take a credit of 200,000 Euro at 8% intrest (we probably can get it much lower) we could pay it of in 30 years with a monthly payment of 1500 Euro. This I consider manageable. Anybody intrested?
